About Programme
The aim of the Master of Science in Physics programme is to provide students physics skills in general physics, Atomic and molecular physics, Solid State physics, Nuclear physics and High energy physics suitable for continued PhD studies. Student will have a broad knowledge of physics and have the ability to make scientific works in the related areas.

The Main Branch of Science
History
The department of Physics was founded on 19.11.2008 . Our department consists of 4 assistant professor and 4 research assistants. Department of Mathematics has the following research areas: -General physics -Atomic and moleculer physics -Solid state physics -Nuclear physics

Qualification Awarded
|
The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Master of Science (M.S.) in M.Sc. Programme in Physics

Admission Requirements
|
The candidates who wish to apply for our MSc. Programme should satisfy the requirements adopted by the senate and anounced by the graduate institute of natural sciences (see Regulations concerning graduate education degree and exams in Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University)

Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduate students have successfully completed the program may apply to the doctoral education or post-graduate education programs in the field of Physical sciences or other fields that accept students from this area.

Graduation Requirements
|
The MSc. Program in Physics consists of courses no less than 24 credits(60 ECTS) and a thesis study(60 ECTS). The student has to complete 120 ECTS of workload for a MSc. Degree, see Regulations concerning graduate education degree and exams in Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Research and Development laboratories of industrial enterprises, software, machine learning, big data, computer and electronic materials design and production, production and calibration of special measuring instruments, quality control units, radiology and nuclear medicine departments of hospitals (health physics), medical physics physics, communication sector, optics business lines, energy businesses, universities, research institutions.

Assessment and Grading
|
The evaluation and grading of each course is regulated by its own “course syllabus” that is included in the information package concerning evaluation and grading system. Evaluation of exams and letter grades are done according to “Regulations concerning graduate education degree and exams in Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University”.
