History
Mechanical Engineering Department was officially founded in 2011 and master students were accepted into the Program in 2017. In the Department, 5 faculty members and 7 research assistants have been employed for teaching and R&D purposes.

Admission Requirements
During the admission of the students to the master's degree program, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Regulation on Graduate Education and Examination is taken into consideration. The requirements for admission to the graduate education program in the relevant regulation and the requirements for admission are as follows:
1. For the applicants for Master's programs with thesis, they must have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and ??? , and must have at least 55 standard points in ALES score.
2. For the students who apply to the MSc program in Mechanical Engineering, the jury has made a written science exam in the time and place specified in the announcement. For the science exam, 50% of the relevant ALES score and 50% of the undergraduate graduation grade are taken and the student is called three times the quota announced for the science exam. Students who do not participate in the science exam or who cannot score more than 50 in the exam are not counted.
3. Success in the master program is determined by taking 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the undergraduate graduation average and 20% of the Science Examination score.
4. According to the calculations, candidates with at least 55 points are ranked from high to low points. In case of equality of points, in turn, ALES grade, graduation grade and science grade are taken into consideration. Higher Grade Transition
Graduate students have successfully completed the Mechanical Engineering program may apply to the doctoral education or post-graduate education programs in the field of Mechanical Engineering, or other fields that accept students from this area.

Graduation Requirements
Mechanical Engineering program is consists of not less than 21 credits and provided to complete 60 ECTS, at least seven different courses, a seminar course and a thesis for 60 ECTS. In order to complete the program successfully, the courses to be taken at least seven different courses must be completed, 60 ECTS credits from the graduate curriculum. Following the completion phase of the course, preparing thesis (60 ECTS) in a matter to be determined by academic advisor, and successful oral defence of the thesis must be present to a selected jury.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of Mechanical Engineering Program are employed with the title of "Master Degree of Mechanical Engineer" goverment and privacy sector organisations related with machine.

Assessment and Grading
In Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Program, a minimum of 70% attendance for theoretical classes and 80% for applied classess are required. The success/failure status of students in a class is assessed by a relative evaluation system, where in-semester activities (mid-term exam, quiz, homework, lab practice etc.) and a final exam have respectively 40% and 60% contributions. The grades A, B, C, D, E and YT are deemed "succeeded", whereas FX, F, DZ and YZ are deemed "failed".
